To get Chapters to appear on the left, how is that done? Are those in the video or created in the player or what?

REPLY- We create the chapters in Camtasia. When you produce the video, you have the options of adding time markers in the video, and then creating a chapter at each marker. It’s very simple to do if you have Camstasia.

REPLY- You need to ensure that you have the newest version of Adobe Flash Player installed by going to http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/?promoid=BUIGP and installing the latest version.

Also you need to ensure you have Java Script enable by following these instructions: http://support.microsoft.com/gp/howtoscript

Try using different browser if the one you’re trying still wont work.

Very useful video. I have currently been using Rackspace Cloudfiles for video hosting, and may switch to Amazon based on the features presented.

sorry, i know i’m pretty green here. great video, i never even knew about the EZS3. i’m still trying to figure out why to use S3 at all. i know it loads up their server instead of yours, but it seems you’re going to pay for it one place or another. if you do it all on your own server, isn’t there the benefit of it all being under one roof rather than having some of your kids spend the night at someone else’s house?

any help in knowing the advantages of S3 would be helpful. i started setting up an account there a month or two ago and never finished the process….

Reply: Scott, the reason that we us an Amazon S3 account is because they have amazing bandwith. Meaning that the videos will stream faster without lagging or skipping. If you host the videos on your own server they tend to be slower and choppier (especially when you have multiple videos and multiple people watching). We use EZS3 to create our players i.e. pause, play, frames ext. this gives us the flexibility to have the video look and preform like we want it to. I hope this helps.

Can you give me an idea of how much it costs to use ezs3. Their online estimated said about $1800 per month for 100GB of video and streaming 450GB/mo.

This just seems outrageous. Can you give me an idea of what it costs as a practical matter?

Got something to say?
